The Swedish institute international students scholarships that are listed below are available only to first-year Master’s programme applicants. They are valid for 2 years of study, under certain conditions. The conditions are outlined in the Scholarship Regulations. The purpose of the Scholarship programmes administered by Chalmers is to make it easier for particularly excellent fee-paying students to study at Chalmers. It is also an ambition to meet a good distribution in terms of the scholarship awardees educational background (i.e. Universities and countries in which the awardees’ bachelor’s degrees were issued).

All Swedish institute international students scholarships administered by Chalmers are awarded based on the relative merit value attained by the eligible scholarship applicants. The purposes of the scholarship programmes, as outlined above, are naturally also taken into consideration when the scholarships are awarded. Scholarship awardees must pass at least 75% (conventionally 45 credits) of their courses during the first academic year to keep the scholarship the following academic year. Students who lose their scholarship will be notified via a decision sent out in conjunction with the dispatch of the tuition fee invoice for the third semester.
